Located in the heart of the West Yorkshire town of Halifax (it’s right next to the train station), Eureka! is the place to go for inquisitive kids aged 0-12 to discover amazing things about yourself and your environment. Eureka Museum Hands On For ChildrenIn the Me And My Body gallery, Scoot the robot will help you discover how your body and your senses work. Step inside a giant mouth to find the wobbly tooth, play pinball digestion and learn how joints and muscles work by riding the skeleton bike!

In the Living and Working Together gallery, you can visit the Town Square. Here you can take out money from the Eureka! Bank, do the week’s shopping at the mini Marks & Spencer shop and help deliver the letters and parcels from the Post Office. You can even fill up the car with petrol at the petrol station!

There’s also Our Global Garden which introduces children to nature. It’s home to Gordon The Garden Gnome who stars in his own cartoon series on BBC TV’s Cbeebies.

And especially for the under fives, there’s a giant sensory sound gallery and Desert Discovery, a magical desert themed experience.

For empty bellies, the Eureka! museum cafe serves a selection of hot and cold meals and snacks every day from 9.30am to 4.30pm and there is also an outdoor picnic area, playground and heated railway carriage for visitors wishing to bring their own lunches.

The Eureka! museum is open every day from 10am to 5pm (except the 24th to the 26th of December) and admission prices are £6.50 for adults and children three years and older, £1.95 for toddlers aged one and two and free for babies under one.
