Try Your Hand At Husky Sled Mushing In Alaska

Ever felt like those eskimos have all the fun with all that snow? Well, why not jump on a sled and experience the exhilaration of a husky drive for yourself amidst the natural beauty of the Alaskan wilderness?

Have you ever driven a sled of huskies? If so we would love to hear all about your experiences (perhaps with a photo or two). You can contact us via our contact page.

Husky Sled Ride Drive Alaska
The Lucky Husky company of Willow, Alaska (on the road north of the town look out for the giant white paw prints on the red fence) offers various excursions that allow you to view the likes of
Mount McKinley, the Alaska Range, the Talkeetna Mountains and Mount Susitna from the back of a sled.

During the winter months you can mush your own dog team in the beautiful and challenging foothills of Mount McKinley. This spectacular five day trip through the Alaskan wilderness costs US$,2195 per person and includes accomodation, meals and collection to and from Anchorage.

There are also half day and full day dog mushing adventures starting from US$195 per person and in the Summer months a two mile dog sled ride with an experienced musher and kennel tour costs US$50 a person.

No advanced skills are required to be able to drive a sled but you should be in good health and in good physical condition.

And make sure you hang on tight. Mush!
