The Castle With No Entrance is home to a greedy goblin who guards his treasure constantly and watches for intruders from his high window in the tower. For fear of robbers, he has blocked up every door and gate into the castle, but there is a hidden entrance that leads to a secret way in. If you discover it, you will be able to enter the castle and discover where the goblin hordes his treasure! The secret forest is just one of the many attractions of the Kelburn Country Centre. There’s also Kelburn Castle itself, ancestral home to the Earls of Glasgow, an adventure course complete with a high-wire crossing fifteen feet off the ground between two trees, indoor and outdoor play areas, a pets corner with rabbits and pot bellied pigs, the magical Kelburn Glen with its gorges and waterfalls, falconry displays, a riding school and a pottery workshop. Kelburn Country Centre is open from 10am to 6pm every day from Easter to the end of October (only the riding centre and grounds remain open during the winter and Kelbourne Castle tours take place only in July and August). Admission prices are £6.50 for adults, £4.50 for children and family tickets are available for £20. For more information telephone the Kelburn Country Centre on 01475 568 685 or visit their website at www.kelburncountrycentre.com |
