Partake In Afternoon Tea At The Savoy, London
What could be more deliciously English than a spot of afternoon tea at the Savoy?
Delicate cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches, fresh cream scones, an envious selection of pastries on silver cake stands, and endless cups of blended tea taken in the refined surroundings of one of London’s most prestigious hotels, the Savoy, which was recently upgraded to the tune of £100 million.
Afternoon tea at the Savoy is served in the famous Thames Foyer with its art decor mirrors and is accompanied by the resident pianist, a position once occupied by Noel Coward.
There are two sittings from Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 3:30pm and 4:00pm to 6:00pm when a traditional afternoon tea costs £48.00 plus service charge per person. A champagne afternoon tea costs £61 per person.
On Sunday you can indulge in The Savoy’s new Art Decadent Tea Experience which is served in the opulent surroundings of The Beaufort Bar. Choose from finely crafted savoury specialities, freshly baked scones and beautifully decorated sweets.
Dress in smart casual attire and to avoid disappointment it is better to reserve a table in advance.
